  • Slicing for H2C
    S sixfootseven

Awful answer with the "that wasn't so hard" text on the landing page, and a top answer that didn't help this financial contributor (and in fact appeared to be wholly incorrect or inconsistent with my experience last night).

The current answer from me is "it doesn't appear that you can select a different ams to what the file was sliced with", as last night i had to swap my two filaments around between left AMS and right AMS, and Bambuddy would only let me select filaments and AMS's already on the same side.

  • Slicing for H2C

    Hi all.

I have an H2C coming next week - my first dual nozzle (well.... I have an X2D as well but havent unboxed it yet - thats next week too).

I'm happily slicing away for 8 other single nozzle Bambus and life is good with Bambuddy. My MicroSD errors seeming to be greatly reduced, and Bambuddy is really reliable (my biggest problems in the past ultimately stemmed from 100MB files to P1S's being unreliable to start.

Anyhooo.... when slicing for H2C, do I have to be super specific in the slicer with the correct AMS setup, and left vs right nozzles in the slice? Or will Bambuddy let me freely assign any AMS on any side to any nozzle when I go to queue up the print?

I want to spend this weekend slicing 50 or so regular products for the H2C in Bambuddy, but not if I'm gonna discover that a physical change of AMS setup renders a sliced file useless.

My ESP boards arrived for Bambutton. Impatient me just grabbed nearest button and wires to get it working.

Quick and easy. That’s a working button when plugged into a USB port or USB power supply.

Of course I will upgrade to nice LED buttons and a nice case.

Tips for n00bs like me, hold boot for 2 seconds before pushing the settings across. :-).

Thankyou so much Ed - this will be a huge advantage in the print garden!

@MartinNYHC no problem. I'll leave my CC1 with my most common prints pre-loaded and just print straight from its screen - i have a bunch of 24 hour prints it can do over and over for the rest of its life 🙂

A modest printing business here in my spare time, doing around 10-20 items a day, and steadily rising as I design new products, and my customers keep coming back for more.

Definitely need to integrate some smart plugs, I have them all here, and also make better use of scheduling when I'm not under production pressure, as the workshop is next to the master bedroom, so scheduling will be good to get prints start at around midnight, leaving 9pm to midnight as quiet hours, so we can go to bed without the noise while we are winding down (doesn't bother me after i fall asleep).

Hi - love a good forum... back to the good old days, I hope it gains traction!

Bambuddy is clearly Bambu dedicated, and ultimately the strongest possible Bambu support is the goal.... buuuuuuut....

Are there any plans to support other brands of printers?

I have 7x Bambus and should be up to 10x soon, but I also have some Centauri Carbon 1's, and it would be amazing to have even a limited support for them (push a sliced file for printing).

And yes, I would contribute financially, in advance, to making that happen.

Fully understand if non-Bambu isn't part of the playbook at all though.

    Tony in New Zealand.

P.S. X2D in the list already?!?! Great work!!!!

Fantastic. I love the concept of a load/unload button in Bambuddy - I would love to be able to control that per printer with a DIY hardware button attached to a Raspberry Pi as well.
